## Bard에서 이제 이미지 생성이 됩니다

OpenAI에 ChatGPT가 있다면, 구글에는 Bard가 있습니다. Bard를 직접 써봤을 때 가장 큰 장점은 익스텐션(Extension) 기능을 활용해 [구글맵 검색이 간편](https://maily.so/dailyprompt/posts/1ea14717?ref=blog.secondbrush.co.kr)하다는 점이었는데요, 이제 새로운 장점이 하나 추가 되었습니다. 바로 **무료로 이미지 생성하는 기능**입니다.

Bard에서 무료로 이미지를 생성해보겠습니다. 우선 [Bard](https://bard.google.com/chat?ref=blog.secondbrush.co.kr)로 이동한 뒤, '@gmail.com'으로 끝나는 구글 개인 계정으로 로그인을 합니다. 로그인 후 아래와 같은 채팅창이 뜹니다.

Bard가 번역해준 결과 1번 'Smiling Bouquet'를 활용해 이미지 생성 요청을 합니다. **'Smiling Bouquet' 앞에 'Create an image of'만 덧붙였습니다.**

이전 대화에 이어서 달리 3처럼 이미지 수정을 요청해보았습니다. 일관성은 없지만, 직전 대화에서 **꽃다발 이미지를 생성했던 것을 기억하고 이미지를 생성**해줍니다.

## 마무리

1) 인물까지도 사실적으로 생성이 됩니다. 크게 기대하지 않았는데, 상당히 우수한 이미지를 생성해줍니다. GPT-4를 사용하다가 Bard를 사용하면 퍼포먼스 차이가 크다는 느낌을 많이 받았는데요, 이번 업데이트는 그간의 굴욕을 만회할 정도입니다.

2) Bard에서 생성되는 이미지에는 [SynthID](https://deepmind.google/technologies/synthid/?ref=blog.secondbrush.co.kr)라는 기술을 사용하여 AI가 생성했음을 나타내는 워터마크가 포함됩니다. 워터마크는 AI가 생성한 이미지의 픽셀에 직접 추가되므로 사람의 눈에는 보이지 않지만 SynthID를 통해 감지할 수 있다고 합니다.

3) 구글의 이미지 생성 기능은 생성형 AI 검색에 적용하기도 했습니다. [112회 뉴스레터](https://maily.so/dailyprompt/posts/ae0fec11?ref=blog.secondbrush.co.kr)에 이를 다룬 적 있는데요, 한국에서는 지원되지 않는 기능이라 VPN 접속을 해야만 써볼 수 있었습니다. 이번 업데이트 덕분에 복잡한 방법 대신 그냥 Bard에서 이미지 생성을 할 수 있게 되었습니다:)
