마무리

1. 생성된 영상의 퀄리티 확인을 위해 오늘은 '텍스트에서 영상 생성'만 실험해보았습니다. 구독자님도 느끼실 수 있듯, 결과물이 정말 놀랍습니다. Veo 2가 처음 공개되었을 때 받았던 충격만큼 충격적입니다.
2. 이제 오디오가 함께 생성되는 것도 더 이상 신기하지 않네요. 참고로 작업할 때 영상과 함께 생성된 오디오를 쓰기보다, 지난 676회에서 소개드렸던 것처럼 Varco Sound를 사용하고 있습니다.
3. 생성된 결과 중 인물이 등장하는 숏폼 스타일 영상이 특히 잘 생성된다는 느낌을 받았습니다. 왜냐하면 Bytedance 회사는 '틱톡'을 서비스하고 있어, 틱톡의 영상이 AI 학습에 사용되었을 것이기 때문입니다.
4. 다른 SNS도 마찬가지입니다. 인스타그램, 페이스북, 쓰레드, X, 유튜브까지, 사용자가 게시하는 글/이미지/영상 자료는 모두 AI 학습에 사용됩니다(사용자는 무료로 학습 데이터를 제공하는 셈이죠). 그래서 요즘은 SNS에 내 모습이 담긴 사진과 영상을 게시하는 게 꺼려집니다.
5. 특정 플랫폼에 콘텐츠를 올리는 것도 마찬가지입니다. 지난 209회에서 Wordpress와 Tumblr 사용자 데이터가 OpenAI와 Midjourney 학습에 사용 예정이라는 기사를 소개드린 적 있는데요, Reddit은 구글과 계약을 맺은 바 있습니다.

6. AI의 퍼포먼스가 좋으려면 다량의 데이터를 저작권 고려없이 학습되어야 합니다. AI가 가져오는 편의성을 누리고 싶고, AI를 사용한 새로운 시도를 하고 싶다면, 나도 기꺼이 나의 데이터를 내어주어야 한다는 딜레마가 있습니다. 지금은 미국과 중국 간 경쟁, 미국 내 기업 간 경쟁으로 인해 속도전이 한창이어서, 윤리가 들어갈 틈바구니가 없는데요, 언젠가 숨고르기를 하고 데이터 생성과 학습에 기여를 하는 인간의 공로가 인정받는 날이 오길 바라봅니다.
